You can visit us at our premises in Ålen (3 miles north of Røros) during office hours or check out one of our dealers. The selection will be very varied at the various retailers so we recommend contacting them to find out what they have in stock.

Yes, we ship worldwide. Just select the country in the checkout and enter the address and you will get the shipping price.

Discount codes and offer prices are only valid for orders made during the promotional period. Unfortunately, we cannot refund discounts for purchases made before or after the promotional period.

As soon as the package has arrived and been processed at our returns department, the case will be sent to Klarna, who will contact you within 5-10 working days after the return has been processed. They send you an email where you have to fill in which account number you want the money refunded to.
If you have paid by card, you will receive the money into the card’s account.

No Unfortunately. But you can place an additional order if you want more items. Let us know by replying to the order confirmation and we will remove the shipping cost on one order and send them in the same package.

Return and exchange

Return of orders in Norway is paid for by us. The order will be credited as soon as we receive the return package. When changing size/colour, the customer must place a new order. The return form can be found here.
Returns from abroad must be paid for by the customer.

If the item is still available in our online store, you can click on the desired size and indicate that you would like to be notified when it becomes available in stock again. If we are out of stock for the item you want to exchange to, you can return the item you have to us for a refund. This ensures that you retain return and exchange rights for up to 90 days.

All goods that are unused, with tags on can be returned to us within 90 days. Please note that we are only able to refund the money for the goods to the person who ordered and paid for the order. So if you have received a gift, it is the owner of the order who will get the money back once the return has been received and processed.

You can change the color or size of the item you have received, but you must pay for the shipping yourself. Contact us when exchanging gifts: post@protex.no

Items which have been used or where the tags have been removed cannot be exchanged.

Shoes

Nesnalobben and Femundlabben are the warmest.
If you want the ultimate combination to keep your feet warm, we recommend the Defense Socks or Kartanker, Nesnalobben/Femundlabben and overshoes outside.
But remember: TIGHT = COLD (the biggest mistake people make is wearing shoes that are too small).

The Femundlab is similar to the Nesnalob except that it has suede details, a sewn-in tongue and a round toe.

Røroslabben is made of a thinner felt and has a thinner outer sole with a different footprint than Femundlabben/Nesnalobben. Røroslabben also has a soft lining on the inside.

Røroslabben: Normal in size.
Nesnalobben: Go up 1-2 sizes from normal size.
Femundlabben: Go up 2-3 sizes from normal size.
Femund 922: Somewhat large in size and wide.
Overtrekksko: Choose the same size as the shoes you will wear them on.
Kira: Normal in size.

The shaft of the Nesnalobben high is 29 cm high from the sole of the foot. The width is adjustable because the tongue is not sewn on the sides.

The shaft of Femundlabber is 28.5 cm high from the sole of the foot and is 54 cm in circumference at the top (in size 42).

They fit on the outside of all our shoes, but remember to choose the same size as the shoes you will wear them on. For example: Nesnalobben in 42 = overshoes in 42.
There is tightening in the overshoes which means that they hang on well even if you wear smaller shoes.

Wool is naturally water-repellent, but will never be waterproof. This means that the shoes can be used fine in dry snow, but in very wet snow they will eventually absorb moisture. The beauty of wool is that you don’t get cold even if you get wet.
You can slightly impregnate the wool with a textile impregnation, but note that this may affect the breathability of the shoe.

No Unfortunately. This will cost more than new shoes, but you can ask a local shoemaker if they can help you.

Production

It varies, but it is described on each individual product under the “Production” tab.
The Ragnarok collection is produced, for example, at our subsidiary in Tallinn, Estonia.

It is so that we can offer our customers competitive prices, but we are very careful when it comes to choosing the factories we work with in terms of the environment, sustainability and that the workers are taken care of.

This is mostly stated in each product description, but we only have products that contain mulesing-free wool.
