About us
Protex is a Norwegian-owned family company with a long history in the production and development of textile products. Since our beginnings in 1966, we have combined craftsmanship and modern technology to create solutions that last.
Today, we are around 220 employees across Norway and Estonia. We work closely with both public and private partners, and are proud to collaborate with well-known companies such as Trimtex, Hilleberg, Ottobock and Hansen Protection.
Our business includes both own-brand development and production for other companies, with a strong focus on quality, functionality and sustainability throughout the entire value chain — built on nearly 60 years of experience. Read more about our story here.
Our brands and specialties
Protex has developed several well-known products — including the classic Nesnalobben, as well as Røroslabben and Femundlabben.
We are also behind the Ragnarok workwear collection, designed for the aquaculture industry, and Figura, which supplies uniforms for choirs and brass bands.
Production and collaboration
Our production takes place in close collaboration with Protex Balti AS in Estonia.
Together we ensure efficient manufacturing, high quality and sustainable processes.
Vision and Values
Our vision and values is our company´s foundation and affect everything we do, both internally and externally. It is an important part of our identity, mindset, inspiration and guidelines.
“It is not about having ideas, it is about making ideas happen.” This motto, adopted by our founder David Engan, has significantly influenced our development over the years and continues to make sense for us. Our vision is inspired by David’s motto.
Our values serve as a basis for symbolism and foster many associations. To clarify what we emphasize, we have described this with three sentences for each value:
